I'm In Love With the World

It's 7 am and I'm not the slightest bit tired cause I'm so happy and filled with wonder and joy for life. And I have photos to show why, lots and lots of photos. So I'll spoil them to keep lower loading times.

First of all, as promised, a few rib fest photos (and only a very few since it was so rainy that day):

Totally took this photo just to show you all the pants on that guy in the background. Sersiously. wtf?

Assom Aussie - they can't spell, but they had awesome ribs.

And the cutest little decals ever!!! I totally voted for them, Lee!!

DEEP FRIED OREOS!!! (they had deep fried smores too, which I really wanted to try, but not as much as I wanted my deep fried oreos)

There they are in all their disgusting yet delicious glory!!

Today, as part of my assignment for this book, I did the following:

Well, the middle frame of it at least.... the following is what occured.

Taken while driving out of town trying to find a place to park. I drove about 15 min out of town, took an exit and then drove another 30 minutes or so out into farm land all in the dark.

The top of a farm house between me and the view of the sunset.

I parked where I first started for awhile, but realized the farm house was going to be blocking a big part of my view (in addition to me blocking a road) and so decided to drive forward about 100 yards to a spot I could make out to park off the road. And you'll never guess where I then ended up:

That's right, a mother fucking graveyard. I swear to God, I did not plan this. I just about shit myself. I drive for 45 minutes to take photos and enjoy life and where do I end up, surrounded by death per usual. I'm not posting all the photos that I put on SG here, just a lot of my faves. For more check out my "journalphotos" pic folder.

It was amazing how many of the graves had flowers on them despite the people having passed decaded ago. This graveyard I bet gets visited very awesome, it was so small, so personal. I've never been to one like it.

a lot of them were surrounded by bushes and flowers like this one, here.

I got to admit, seeing how close to the surface this coffin was made me a bit nervous about zombies.

It had beautiful carvings on the stone though. Even though a chunk of the headstone had broken off. frown

Really loved this tree a lot, too. It just felt symbolic all alone there. LIke it was what remained of the living, gaurding over the dead.

From outside the fence looking into the graveyard.

Driving home after that was crazy... I'd taken a lot of roads trying to find a good place to park, the last of which was so terrible and long I had no intentions of crossing it to get back. Which meant I got hella lost. Took some more good photos along the way though:

So many of these photos didn't really show the true colors in the sky, so I was really happy when this one turned out so good.

This little river was a very happy find.

The sun is rising out of bed wake up wake up you sleepy head, the sun is rising out of bed so early in the morning. From my car window. For my mommy.

I spent the entire time listening to an amazing mix of music from Death Cab for Cutie, Rasputina, Tom Waits, Bright Eyes, Foo Fighters, Regina Spektor, Ben Harper, and more. It was all this really soft lovey music that just filled me with joy and hope and wonder. I love it. I only hope one day I'll find a boy filled with adventure who'll wake up to do this with me. I'd so love a boy willing to fall in love with the world by my side. I don't know if they exist in Fargo. It's really too bad, cause I'm in love with Fargo.

Rizzy ♥
