We don't own our house. Our place needed to be painted when we moved in. I asked about painting and he said, "we'd prefer if you'd paint it white." If I'm painting it, fuck that. I'm prepared to repaint if I have to when we move out though. I know a lot of people who do that. If not, there's always blik. It's expensive but I've been told you can DIY your own on the cheap if you just ask a local sign maker for repositionable vinyl.
