i like my eggs with hollandaise sauce...eggs benedict...yumm...but if I can't have such a fancy choice prefer my eggs boiled...with a little butter and a little pepper.

i was thinking about this last night as I was cooking dinner: the rituals that are instituted in any culture: food, birth, death, the rituals of artmaking, etc, are like making magic. We wax poetic about it but really it is very mundane. The basics of it are everyday and sometimes quite boring. But it is the transformation process that is the magic. It's the preparation and work and then the letting go and then afterwards we feel spritual about it. In the moment it's just very raw and real and commonplace.
um, anyways...
