It turned out pretty cool! 18 trout for the clients, and one seagull. The seagull flew right under the line I casted for a female client who has never caught a fish (she caught nine!).
Anyway, it was lassoed, brought to shore, and cut loose. It didn't get hooked, but had 2 or 3 wraps of line around it's neck. A friend cut the line while I kept the angry gull from pecking us. Yes, they have sharp points on their bill. Here's a pic before the release.
