I find it morally okay to steal when you are in a situation of great need (starvation) from others who have it better. But this comes from a mentality that has taught me that many people who are "well off" have, in a form, stolen from us. They may not have reached into my pocket and taken money directly, but they have often helped steal my wages or something else.

I don't believe torture is ever acceptable; albeit, I would understand it in some of the loved ones situation. It can give faulty information, and does not actually stop the attempted harm. There are better ways to solve ones problems in many cases...
