Speaking of scar tissue getting ripped open...
At five o clock in the morning yesterday, my mom calls me and tells me that her incision ripped open - and she made a huge mess on the floor.
NOTHING could have prepared me for the pile of blood and bile and infection on the floor in her room. Immediately I called 911 and they came about 15 mins later to take her to the hospital. I stayed at the house and it took my aunt and I about half an hour between gagging and running out front for fresh air to clean it up.
Then I showered and spent most of the day at the hospital - but they released my mom WAY too soon. This morning she had an appointment with her surgeon, and he said not only did she have to be re-admitted, but that she is going to need chemo now as well.
I am SO PISSED at those people for sending her home early! They should at least have kept her overnight for observation. If something happens to her because of negligence I will never forgive those people.
