Well, I did it! I finally screwed up the courage to ask out the boy at my family's church that I've had a crush on for like 2 years. My mom hired some people from my family's church to clean out my garage, and I asked them about Joel and whether or not I should ask him out.
They said that he asked about me a few times so...I needed to screw up the courage to do it. The guy suggested that I call his house and ask him out to lunch on Sunday. He (along with others) kept telling me that I needed to do it before someone else does. So, I did, and he said yes!
For those who have tuned in recently, this is the guy:
I'm so nervous but excited, too. I hate to make the first move, but we were gonna be at a standoff forever if someone didn't say SOMETHING. And I'm done being a scaredy-cat when it comes to men. It's never gotten me anywhere.
I need time to process all this.
