Slipping
These last words upon my lips will die without uttering a sound
This emotional turmoil rumbles and crashes
No release and no excuse
Breathing in stale air and suffocating on failure

These cracks and holes may not be visible now,
But they will leave their marks down the road
The warp and reform
Twisting all that once was
To form a grotesque and utter mockery of what was

The light used to caress and swallow
Comfort and please
The light does not comfort any more
Caress no longer exists and
Emptiness has overcome once full avenues

Another chapter lay to rest
Another dark day in nonlinear history
One last chance
