First Gandahar, from René Laloux very sci-fi, great drawings and scenario.It's french and very smart and deep.
Second it's the tale of Kaguya's princess from Takahata, japanese realisator of Le tombeau des lucioles. Kaguya is very sensitive, with great drawings, celebrating nature, simple life and friendship.
