♥ I think my boobs shrunk a cup size! It's okay, I'm still a C and my boobs look and feel great...it is just a little surprising! I bought a bunch of new bras lately and you ladies will understand, there aren't many pleasures in life like a new bra--or maybe it's just me!

♥ This past weekend, I saw the movie 'Mongol'. You guys know my kind-of obsession with Mongols, and I give it a definite pass! I don't know the subtleties of Medieval Mongol culture, so there was a lot I couldn't nitpick out of sheer ignorance, but I felt the horses were kind of huge and modern to be steppe ponies. I guess I am kind of being an asshole, because the producers obviously needed trained horses, and no one has a herd of Przewalski horses just hanging out and ready to be movie stars. Also, the actress playing Borte was super hot. I would definitely raid my neighbours to get her back (that actually happened, btw!).

I am seriously going to have to start keeping track of these; I'd hate to do a re-post! Okay, I took a break to make a list and now I'm safe from double-posting.

The song 'Our Age' really just makes me swoon. I feel like I should be listening to it through headphones, leaning my head against the window of a bus coursing through a dark, rainy night in Vancouver, or while I'm stomping around in the grey evening through a mist of rain. It makes me ache! You should listen to the better version on the page I've linked above, but I like posting videos so here's a low quality version. ♥ I'm planning my next tattoo! I will be visiting _mike_ for it (as usual) but not for at least another month. It will be one of these babies!


♥ I have been so wickedly homesick lately. Part of my most recent bout was egged on by my super terse brother texting me to say he missed me (!!!). My mom has been sending me some great Albertan summer photos, like storms building. I miss complete violence of a storm blowing up out of nowhere, thunder rattling the windows and wind pushing at the door and pulling at your clothes. How eerie it is when the temperature drops, the wind rises and the sky darkens. Once my friend Sanford and I sat on the porch under my clear umbrella watching the storm crash through downtown Calgary. Thunder is so cool when it echoes of buildings.




♥ oh yeah, we did a super grown up thing the other day: we bought a 2008 Honda Fit! It's super nice to have a vehicle that's reliable. Our other car is a 1997 Jeep Cherokee that needs some serious servicing, so we are selling it.

♥ Health news! I have been getting crazy joint pains for my whole life, but until I stopped growing I thought they were growing pains. No diagnosis as of yet, but I got blood tests done a couple days ago (and got the requisite huge bruise on the needled site). Hopefully I'll find something out, it would be nice to have a name for it instead of 'not-arthritis'. I hope it's just a vitamin deficiency or something...right now I take 2000 mg of MSM + Glucosamine a day and it kind of makes me feel like an old lady!
