holy hell! i have spent the past week trying to find something to update with and i've come up empty-handed. so, because i am off to the ol' hometown for a few days, i leave you with my new obession:

♥ i have been working a lot lately. hopefully my next paycheque will not suck. also at work i have had a waning patience with people who don't understand canadian money and who get mad when my store gives them a shitty exchange on their american dollahs. DUDES. YOU ARE PAYING WITH A FOREIGN CURRENCY. SHUT THE FUCK UP. i am not, however, getting tired of the legions of british and australian tourists. i wish they would hang out and...i dunno, talk. i like to hear their accents.
♥ getting excited for cirdt's visit on the 31st! yayyy!! also, i will see her in our hometown, but that's not the point.
♥ my friend yellowdays had her baby on the 14th! congratulations!
♥ uproot is coming to visit me in THIRTEEN SLEEPS! squee! he will be here for ten days! we are going to go to victoria and also have an awesome time slinking around vancouver. he is the raddest bf in history.
♥ i have been spending lots of time with redmess and ladyexxa lately. i have also had visit time with s_eldorado and spunsugar. this entry makes it look like i have lots of friends. haha!!
♥ my hair is now long enough for two styles! they are 'down-ish' and 'up' wherein either i can attempt to make my hair flat to my head, or make it stand straight up. very, very exciting.
♥ i am heading home tonight and i will be back on the 27th. i also go back towork that day. no rest for the wicked!
♥ i am reading the fabled 'guns, germs and steel'. so far, it is fucking rocking me. i love huge historical tomes like that. good thing, because i have to be at the airport THREE hours before my flight tonight. i forsee myself eating some lonely, overpriced supper in KELSEY'S or an equally repulsive airport lounge-style restaurant, because sit-down restaurants make meals go by faster. either that, or i will spend three hours waiting in a security lineup and not have enough time to eat before my flight leaves and then have my stomach growls bothering other passengers.
♥ my cat is giving my arm a bath right now. she is so wierd. i just had a shower an hour ago. she is all like, 'what's wrong, dude? it was just a lovebath' and i am like 'your tongue is rough, you wierdo' and now she is all 'i am laying on your tummy and purring so you have a hard time finishing your entry, HAHAHAH' but it is coming out as 'prrrurrrrurrrr'
♥ i am attempting to kitty sit two other cats, but my cat follows me around all over the house and hisses at them when i am hanging out with them. she has a mad on for everything. she is going to be especially mad when i do not come home tonight. i wish i could just explain this kind of stuff to my cat. 'listen, i will be home on wednesday! do not fight with mos and gollum so much. be nice PLEASE'
♥ i have been painting a lot lately!
♥ remember how i asked for people's addresses so i could send postcards from seattle in july? and how i never sent them? that's because i lost them until LAST WEEK! they were hidden in the bottom of my travling bag. expect to see them in mailboxes soon!
♥ i only bought one of my christmas presents. the rest i made, which i am very, very proud of. and the one i bought was a handmade angel ornament by a vendor in the granville island market. it is for my mom.
♥ lately, i have been eating lots of indian food (from the cheapo place in the market) but really wanting cheap potato burritos and fountain horchata.
♥ maybe i will get to see the northern lights while i am home! that would be rad.
♥ i am off to be domestic (clean, laundry, eat, etc)! i hope everyone has a pleasant few days, whether or not you are celebrating a holiday.
