My Grandmother died yesterday, she was 92. I went over and sat with her the other night, went in to work late. I said my goodbye's then, and so did she in not so many words. They say to pay close attention to things that dying people say, and she told me "don't ever lose your faith". A very strange thing for her to say since we rarely talked about Jesus and all that. She went to church alot, and I remember going with her. I remember her coming to take care of me as a child when I had the chickenpocks, she taught me my multiplication tables while I was sick so I wouldnt get behind in school. I would go and stay with her and work on my Uncle's farm for the summer (hard work but I loved it).

She was a good woman. We moved her down here a few years ago to Florida to live in a retirement community close to us (its nice). She made it to 92 and still had her mind with her all along, she raised an excellent family and loved a good man (RIP Grandpa), has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I dont think anyone can ask for more in this lifetime.

Im off to Nebraska for the funeral, we are burying her beside Grampa out in the country at a graveyard near where they both raised their children. Im a pallbearer, along with my brothers and cousins (all the grandsons).

I loved her very much and I will miss her, but I also know that death is a part of life, and that she is in Heaven reunited with her Husband and son (My Uncle Died at 56, cancer).

Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. John 11:25-26

Have fun in Heaven Grandma!!

Thanks, it was a nice ceremony. She did not have an easy life and deserves her rest.
