(i) Merely because the woman on strings assigns the grades at the end of the term doesn't mean that what she says is right.

(ii) If I ever try to participate in another gender politics discussion, I want someone to kick me in the head and say, "No," like they were talking to a four-year-old who should've known better.

(iii) Searching For Bobby Fischer is the best chess movie I've ever seen.

(iv) Carrion Comfort is the best book about telepathic vampires I've ever read.

(v) I think style can, and sometimes should, be a goal in and of itself within art without trying for substance.

(vi) The necessity of posting a sign that reads "Speed Limits Are Strictly Enforced" seems contradictory.

(vii) Whenever I see a thong peeking out of a pair of jeans, I get weak in the knees.

(viii) I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm a hopeless romantic and that that makes my opinion on overly sentimental entertainments suspect.

(ix) I've only been personally offended twice in the past decade.

(x) I have unrealistic expectations towards friends, family, and lovers.
