I have two seperate recurring dreams that seem to stem from movies I've seen. Ever since I saw Memento I've occasionally had a strange dream that starts out at Lenny's motel room, goes through always changing strangeness in a town I've never been in, and then ends in a small building on the beach that's getting pounded by waves. I think that there's something in the building that I should be afraid of, but I always end up there. Twice with someone else and once by myself. The dream always ends before I find out why I'm at the building.
But that's not the recurrant dream I had last night. Last night's was the one that's inspired by The Wizard, which was a strange movie about videogame competitions. In the dream, I'm back in high school and apparently the major sport is videogame competition. The dream picks up after a competition while I (and sometimes two other teammates, like last night) are waiting for the bus that will take us to the State (or National or World or Universe) competition where it's assumed that I'm going to do extremely well. In some of the dreams, two buses show up and my teammates and I have to split up. In others, like last night, only one bus shows up, but it's from a rival school. The rival school's team consisted mostly of women, and, were this some type of movie, their best player would've been my love interest -- she was attractive and seemed to be interested in me. Another girl kept taking her clothes off.
The dream always ends before I get to the competition. As we get closer I get more anxious because everyone thinks I'm good at videogames, but I really suck at them, but I can't tell them that.
I don't know what the dreams mean, but they always leave me unsettled.
