- Finally got around to seeing the new Potter film and it seems as though I'm in the (somewhat large) minority that thought it was better than the first two. Much better. Better to the point of making the first film look bad and the second film merely competent by comparison. Most of my quibbles with the film would have to do with problems inherent to the source material or to the necessity of trimming to accomodate a filmic length. Now I'm left to wonder how good the first two films would've been had Cuaron directed them, and how much better still this film might've been had he had two films to warm up.
- Anyone have any good experiences teaching test prep? I got an offer to teach SAT I&II and GRE test prep, and I'm debating whether or not to look into it. Seems like a sweet deal, but my mind is running through all of the possible horror scenarios. So, anyone?

As for teaching SAT prep, I coudln't help you..I'm Canadian and never took the SAT's. My ex boyfriend said the prep really helped him though, and that the guy doing the class was really helpful, so maybe you'd end up helping someone enough to get them into college? As a generalization, the kids doing the prep class probably aren't the big trouble makers anyways..
