The pinball of my day -
- my dreams continue to be haunted by beauty which leaves me aching when I finally get out of bed.
- difficult to believe, but IHOP actually serves a damn tastey steak and shrimp combo. Also, as is always the case, dinner makes a great breakfast.
- Watching One Hour Photo with the sibs and my brother's girlfriend led me to two conclusions: 1) that all of the promotion behind the film was extremely misleading (which is only to say that the film portrayed in the previews seemed far more interesting than the one we watched this evening); and, 2) the attempt in the final few minutes to give an explanation to both Sy's neurosis about his career choice and his actions in the latter third of the film was clumbsy and unnecessary. Without the explanation, the story seems sadly human; with it, the story seemed as though the writer was attempting to someone redeem the character.

- Downloading porn from an nntp server is always something of a crap shoot. Unlike other ways of downloading porn (p2p network, ftp, websites, etc), there's an ephemerality to the content you can find on an nntp server; what is here today will most likely be gone tomorrow; and one can only get what others have decided to post today (or yesterday, or, if one's server has good retention, possibly a few days ago). And then there's the business of incomplete posts, and the spam that never dies. But it's a great way to get more porn than you'll ever need.
- Kittens play for keeps. Beware of dangling your foot over the leg of a chair while masturbating. Chasing after a kitten while struggling to put a hard-on back into pants probably looks very amusing.
- And this is something that will certainly have to be looked into once it gets going.
