It probably speaks volumes of my taste that every time I hear "Scotland the Brave" I immediately thinking of "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

You could always find a tape trade or something. The people on the boards at TWoP are pretty nice, and they'll usually only make you pay for the cost of the tape and shipping and handling.

She's really cute this season. She made me yell at the TV last night, though, because she assumed the sensitive, sweet, nice, sort of dorky dude in her art class was gay. Just because a dude listens doesn't make him gay. I'm kind of hoping she comes around to him since the character reminds me of myself. Sort of.

The other movie -- was it Can't Hardly Wait?

Roddy Piper was a funny dude. He did the best pre-fight smack talking. Also, he wore a kilt.
mephausto:
see, but invoking the name of the rowdy one brings up such a rich history... Piper's pit with brother love, with morton downey jr... They Live... what, I ask you, is so wrong with that? the wreslemania's of my youth are fond, fond memories.

from mud to mud back again, it is a renewing cycle.

The sibs came over today, and my sister was impressed with the amount of progress that's happened over at the house. Stairs; framing of some rooms; the plumbing still needs a great deal of work. It's coming along, though my father says it might kill him before it's finished. I wish that I was able to help more, but I lack the skills, and he's...

I have two seperate recurring dreams that seem to stem from movies I've seen. Ever since I saw Memento I've occasionally had a strange dream that starts out at Lenny's motel room, goes through always changing strangeness in a town I've never been in, and then ends in a small building on the beach that's getting pounded by waves. I think that there's something in...

Class was cancelled yesterday on account of the prof getting the flu. Unfortunately she didn't bother to email anyone that, so I ended up making the long drive anyway. Not that that's really any hardship (I kinda enjoy just riding and listening to my music), but my time could've been better spent doing something other than driving down, turning around, and coming back home.

About...

Sorry, not in 20 degree weather!

Sorry about the "breakup".
I'm trying to think of something clever and uplifting to say but it all sounds like crap to me.

Tomorrow is the long drive and the trek through the cold and the people with sucking sounds in their heads and the woman on strings and the effort of holding the screams in.

While looking through music files, I came across the Petula Clark song "Don't Sleep on the Subway" (her more popular hit was "Downtown"), and I suddenly realized that that song has become emotionally radioactive to me. I had that song in heavy rotation in my MD jukebox around the time that the Italian Girl started losing the feeling. I'd drive over to her house, would...

I like Hank Williams. I like Hank Williams III. I don't like Hank Williams, Jr.

Yes.
anonymouse:
Hank Williams III sounds and looks just like his grandfather. I think it was Minnie Pearl who said it was like seeing a ghost.

He's written some great songs. You should check out Lovesick Broke & Driftin'. "5 Shots of Whiskey" is an amazing song. I listen to that CD whenever I feel like moping and crying. Or when my heart's been broken.
Though, since my ex dumped me, I've had reason to listen to certain Hank Williams songs more. I stopped thinking of "I Don't Care If Tomorrow Never Comes" as my anthem. It's more like "My Love for You." And, if you're unfamiliar with that song, the lyrics include, "My love for you has turned to hate."

Is it overly strange than one of my odder fantasies involves me having sex with Nancy Cartwright while she whispers dirty nothings into my ear in her Bart Simpson voice?

"C'mon man, cum already."

Hmm, it seems that my favorite internet porn author, Nick Urfe, has up and disappeared. I hadn't really checked his site all that often since he stopped posting in his blog, which happened late last year. He even disappeared from ASSD.

I think he, along with MichaelD (another author who disappeared to try his hand at writing for pay), were the best net...

Mr. Rogers died?? When? I must admit that I thought he was creepy as a child, and I still do, but... That's still sad. Also, it reminds me that I'm fucking OLD.

I like it when new people comment in my journal. It makes me feel special.

Miscommunication has put a dent in my plans. There's no time to write as much as is required, so I'm going to have to adapt something previously written. Great.

As predicted, the time I had to do my assignment was squandered on sleep, sex, and other delights that did not involve me writing forty-ish pages because without the pressure of the cruch I'm not really all that good at working. Now I have to face the fact that whatever it is that I manage to push out in the next day will be subpar...

It's strange when revelations suddenly hit you. Tonight I suddenly realized that ever since some undefined moment in '95 I've been measuring all of the women I've dated against the simple question, asked by an angsty pop princess on the rise, the answer to which I'm not even entirely sure if I'd enjoy is: "would she go down on your in a theatre?"

The influences...

Hmm. I want to geek it up and install either Linux or OpenBSD on my computer, but I lack the time, energy, know-how, or even really the inclination to go without all the easily integrated windoze programs that I currently run. Some geek, huh?
