I've been thinking about my relationship with my girlfriend a lot lately. I've come to the conclusion that, ever since I found out she was moving far away for school, I've been waiting for us to break up.

I decided that's not a good way to continue. It's making me unhappy and it's making her unhappy. That gave me two options: break up with her, or stop expecting it to happen.

I've decided to start expecting things to work out between us. I understand that we've got a rough time ahead of us (she'll be a third-year med student, and I'll be moving further away from her and starting a new job), but it's worth putting in the effort. If it still doesn't work out, at least I'll have a better time trying.

Long distance relationships are really hard to keep. But love is always worth it.

i used to sit around and make myself upset expect for my boy to break up with me, like it was going to happen any day.
but then i realized that he wouldnt do that, that i was just being irrational b/c i thought i wasnt worthy of his affection.
the second you put a period on something is when its destined to end.
