So Nebraska went okay. I haven't exactly been able to fix my girlfriend troubles, but they have gotten better. I also saw some white pelicans flying North along the Mississippi river, so it was worth the trip.
Our band is having a really hard time practicing. This old lady across the street keeps calling the cops on us. When our drummer went to reason with her she told us that it's our fault she only gets 4 hours of sleep every night (we practice Wed nights from 7:30 to 9:30), it's our fault her dogs bark a lot and shit on the rug, it's our fault the WWII vet in her building can't walk up the stairs, and it's our fault the birds left the neighborhood. Apparently she has not only called the cops, but she says she called the army and the navy as well. When asked if there was a day or time that would be better, she said every time she hears our music she wants to scream and kill somebody.
How do you compromise with a nutjob like that? Do you think the cops will go easy on us if they know what kind of creep we're dealing with?
