wow...where do i begin. ok. this is gonna be a long one...but its pretty interesting...well...for me it is.
thursday: met up with all my buddies and went to the pound. got a little drunk on the bus, then got really drunk outside before the show. we missed the first two bands (whiskey rebels, and blown to bits) but didnt really care too much. then i went in to see the Midnight Creeps...check em out they rock, and the lead singer is sooooooo fuckin hot. my friend max kept sneaking in the whole night cuz hes banned for life so that was pretty funny cuz he kept gettin caught. then we saw Toxic Narcotic, who also rocked. then Liz (my gf) got really stoned outside and was sick, so i asked the bartender for some water and he wouldnt give me any...so i started screaming at him and threw a cup in his face. anyways, i finally got her water and she felt better so we went in to see the UK subs. THEY WERE UNBELEIVABLE!!! they were really fuckin old and played most of the songs wrong, but theyre so good i didnt care. Liz was so cute up in the front right by the stage getting beat to hell singing along to all the songs...i tried to protect her most of the time but she can handle herself...plus i had to join the circle pit. anypoop, Max snuck in right at the end of the show and the security guard saw him and grabbed him by the shirt and literally threw him out...so i ran up and pushed the security guard. Max got up and we got in a huge shoving match with like four security guards...but there was a cop like twenty feet away so we didnt throw any punches...im assuming thats why the security guards didnt throw any either. so Liz ran up and started tryin to pull me and Max away...then two of our other friends came up and pulled us away too...but we kept running back and fuckin with the guards. it was a great night. i think im banned for life now too. but fuck them ill be back in december for DEFIANCE and Lower Class Brats.
Friday: holier than thou was playin at Gilman. Liz called like half an hour before we were all supposed to meet and said she wasnt coming...so that sucked ass. anyways we got to Gilman and i got a 12 pack of PBR and chipped in for a big bottle of whiskey. i just sat outside, cuz i had no money and drank my 12 pack and hella whiskey...i woke up in my bed Saturday morning still drunk, with a scraped, black eye, a bruised nose, and cuts on my knuckles. i still have no idea what happened but im pretty sure i woulda remembered gettin in a fight...if i did i couldnt have lost, cuz ive come away from fights way worse than that. oh well.
Saturday: called Liz when i woke up and she came over...she is the most amazing girl ever. she brought over "Roger Rabbit", "Repo Man", and "Hedwig and the Angry Inch". and right when she walked in she begged me to watch "Fellowship of the Ring" and "The Two Towers" extended versions...straight! six hours of LOTR! i think i love her.
Sunday: lots and lots of sex.
so that was my weekend...i think its safe to say it lived up to my expectations. unfortunately i have to go down to LA to visit family tomorrow...so i probably wont be able to update for a while. nor will i be able to see Liz.

I listened to GI on the way to work this morning. I hadn't listened to it for a long time and it holds up amazingly well. Definitely one of the best American punk records ever. RIP Darby.
