today could quite possibly be one of the greatest days ever...i only woke up fifteen minutes ago but everythings been goin right so far. yesterday i went to the financial aid office to see if i got my loan, and i did...2000 dollars! haha second i get that check im goin to get my germs tattoo, some beer, and a new bass amp. what would i do without the governments money payin for all my addicitions. so anyways yeah i got that goin for me, plus i woke up and did my online test in about five minutes and did pretty good, normally they take about an hour...and then i found busfare layin around! i mean this is a great way to start off the day. plus later im goin to get pizza with Lauren, then after that a bunch of my friends and i are gonna go see "This is Spinal Tap" at the Red Vic! man im lookin forward to today. smile

Edit:

fuck i wasn't gonna open my mouth today...but my conscience wont let me get away without voicing my opinion on this day, Sept. 11th.

first off i wanna make one thing really fuckin clear...I DO NOT MEAN ANY DISRESPECT TO ANYBODY WHO LOST A LOVED ONE OR FRIEND ON THIS DAY TWO YEARS AGO...THE LOSS OF INNOCENT LIFE WAS A TRAGEDY...AND MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY GOES OUT TO THOSE FAMILIES WHO THOUGHT THERE LOVED ONES WERE HEADED TO A NORMAL DAY AT THE OFFICE THAT MORNING.

that said...

on September 11th two years ago my faith in humanity was restored...unfortunately only temporarily. the compassion showed by complete strangers, to complete strangers in the aftermath of the bombings was amazing...it shocked a little love and faith back into my heart.

However, in the months that followed my faith in humanity dropped to a level quite lower than it had been before. as the initial shock wore off and people got back on their feet the blind patriotism shown by so many people made me sick, rather than happy...as i had been before. the ignorance shown in the wake of these bombings made me want to grab everybody with a pro-america shirt on and beat the crap out of them. for a couple reasons:

1) people whining and bitching about "oh my god how could they do this to inncoent people" blah de fuckin blah. look at it from their point of view...no Americans were innocent people to them. they did this cuz we fucked them...we go overseas and fuck around in other peoples stuff and expect it not to come back and bite us in the ass. its like when the Columbine shootings happened..."how could this happen"...ill tell you how, its because people can only be pushed so far, and then THEY WILL FUCKIN KILL YOU. we cant blame ourselves as individuals for these attacks...we can blame the government tho. yes the government is a representation of us, but clearly not everybody agrees with the government and what they do. basically, AS A NATION....NOT INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE, we fuckin had it comin...and anyone who thinks otherwise is fuckin naive.

2) in my high school, in my little rich white town, a muslim kid had to drop out because all the stupid fuckin jocks who knew nothin about the situation except that "some towelheads blew up America" picked on him and beat him up. i wanted to fuckin kill them. this blind patriotism, and racism, is so fuckin stupid i cant even think of the words to describe it. fifty kids in my school had signed up for the Marines within a month after the bombings. i knew some of them. there main reason was "to go kill some towelheads"...and in my eyes these stupid kids deserve every bullet that finds its way into their worthless racist hides when theyre out in the desert. goin out and joinin the army like that is only gonna cause more of this shit to happen in the future.

my main problem with the whole thing is the lack of reason and thinkin that a large part of americans went through. so they get revenge on us, now well go get more revenge on them....whats gonna happen in the future. im not sayin we shouldnt do anything, but we went about it the wrong way...but thats a completely different conversation.

now if you loved America before these attacks more power to ya. Americas a great place...its got its problems but its better than most places. but to every asshole who didnt love america before the bombings and went out and got a sticker at the McDonald's drive-thru that said UNITED WE STAND, your'e a retard, a big fake fuckin retard...before we got attacked you didn't give two shits about America or anything we did at home or overseas. you just lived your life day by day tryin to make enough money to get new rims on your car and a new boat to go to the lake in. but "oh fuck somebody blew something up i better show my pride in america so i look like a good person." newsflash your not a good fuckin person and you never will be...you showed your false pride with a sticker...but you didnt really care at all..cuz it didnt happen to you...and your compassion and pride lasted maybe two weeks.

when Sept. 11th happened i lived in a little place called Westlake Village CA. it is the worst place in America and i suggest none of you ever visit there. but i realize that because i lived there at that time my view is skewed towards the whole thing. maybe if you lived there at the same time or ever....you would understand my anger over the whole situation.

ONCE AGAIN I DONT MEAN ANY DISRESPECT TO ANYBODY WHO LOST A LOVED ONE THAT DAY...AND I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THE HEROIC PEOPLE THAT DAY...WHETHER IT BE A FIREFIGHTER, POLICEMAN, OR AVERAGE JOE THAT PITCHED IN...THANKYOU FOR GIVING US A FLASH OF HOPE...YOU WILL ALWAYS BE HEROS IN MY EYES.

I wholeheartedly agree with your stance on 9/11. Every time I saw a new flag, or a new sticker, it just added to this ever-collecting ball of rage. One of the delicious ironies was all the broken flag etiquite committed by "patriots". A few times my drummer and I went around town putting upsidedown american flag stickers over peoples new american flag stickers, and "Divided We Fall" stickers over the "United We Stand" ones. In the art class I was taking at the time, I took a picture of a local neighborhood, in which almost every house had a flag, and proceeded to take pictures from the same angle every couple months. I arranged the pictures next to each other so you could see the number of flags diminishing as people returned to their normal lives.
