I hope the band thing works out - I know how it can be everyone changes & moves in their views - being in music is not so easy or any art for that matter. I would wait on the recording (if you would any advance that is), it is hard work to go into the studio not being sure about where everyone stands. so hold off just for a bit. I'm sure it will all work out these things do
