Part of the great thing about being a portrait photographer is that you get to spend time with some really great people. I just did a shoot with a fantastic health and fitness coach, the head coach of Bright Hammer Fitness here in the UK.
As well as the usual tom-foolery it's always nice to engage in we had a chat about what it means to be a man in contemporary Western culture. An interesting topic came up that we all, men and women, have different centers of the body (genitals, lower belly, heart, and head) and that these centers all have a different function and energy to them. One way of being a full person is to be in touch with, and perhaps even cultivating, these centers, and being able to harness their different energies to serve your vision, and others.
