October Reading

As we get into the middle of October, usually I love to start my horror movies marathon and so on, but right now I want to talk about something different. I love reading. I’m always reading something, whether is a book, a comic, a magazine, blogs, always something. My favorite authors right now are Clive Barker & Chuck Palahniuk, plus Im a great advocate for Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft & H.G. Wells. I’ve takle Shakespear, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlok Holmes stories, Milton’s Paradise Lost, Dante’s Divine Comedy and a lot more classics and other stuff. Like many things in my life, even though I love horror I’ve always expand to an array of genders, I read Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Suspense, and Drama. But today I like to keep it in horror. I started reading at a very young age, from an array of scholastic books we could order in school. Then as I was growing older I started to pick my mothers library and the first novel I ever read was Mario Puzzo’s the Godfather. And I was forever hooked to the experience of reading. So I kept finding new stuff to read, and also started getting my own books and started my collection, and though Ive read some amazing stories and books along the way, and some pretty horrific and fucked up stuff, in my reading experience, in my young age of reading I came across Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. And I still to this day, almost 20 years after I read it I still remember the chills that I got while reading it. I read it in 3 days. Later I may have read scariest or more fucked up books, but nothing compares to that experience, that first time, that something I read could cause such complex emotions and chills.

Anyways, what comes down to, What are the scariest or more suspenseful books you have read??

I don't read that kind of books, but if I did, I think I could not finish the stories. I can't stand the suspense! I would jump at the end of the book to see what happens!

I know it's pretty old school but when it comes to scary I always think about XIX century vampire stories. My favourite is Carmilla, by Joseph Seridan Le Fanu. - also wanted to thank you for commenting my set:)
