Messy! Decided to re-pierce my right cartilage to put a full spiral cuff on that ear. I did all of my other piercings (sans lip) myself, including two left cartilage, one right cartilage, two left lobe, and three right lobe, plus all the gauging- even up to 12 in my left cartilage right after, by myself. I thought i remembered how to do it fine and everything would go smoothly- wrong. I used too small of a pin and the gauged post wouldn't fit through the hole. When I pulled it out blood was gushing everywhere and soaked me plus covered my sink and counter- whoops. Found a bigger pin and decided to go for it again while the hole was still a little open, but I couldn't find it. I ended up just shoving the large pin through as hard and fast as I could somewhere close to the first hole. I spun it and tugged it enough to loosen it up for about 10min then pulled it out and quickly twisted and pushed the gauged post through- OW. Hurt like hell and my ear's swollen plus there's blood EVERYWHERE, but hopefully it won't get infected and I can put the cuff piercing in next month. ^_^
