I've been in Perth nearly a week and things are going swimmingly. I haven't found a job yet, but then, I must admit, I haven't been looking that hard either. Waking up next to an amazing girlfriend every day has stunted my productivity. I will, however, resume the hunt in full next week when I register with the government and (hopefully) get an apartment.

I feel bad for the roommate because I know how much having people squat can suck. But I've tried to do my part by washing dishes and cleaning up a bit where I can and generally staying out of everyone's way as much as possible.

So far I'm loving life in a way that Korea never gave me. I do miss bits of it though, especially some of the people I left behind. One of my old students was apparently very sad that I left and I was touched that she thought to ask where I went.

I've been getting used to the cars coming at me from the other side of the street, calling the pharmacy the chemist and how quiet it is compared to Seoul. I love it. Really. I'm so glad I made the decision to come down here. As you know, I was as nervous as anything and wasn't sure if things would work out once I arrived, but my fears have been put to rest and now I'm just smiling all the time.
