We went to the beach yesterday and lay down in the sand. Watched people surf in the ocean. Not warm enough for me to join them, however. Brought back childhood memories of the beaches on Long Island, and Sunday mornings with bagels on an army blanket........ 
Then we saw the new Star Trek movie with members of the writers guild that my sis is part of. I absolutely loved it!! When I was a kid, my parents would let us stay up later than our usual bedtime to watch the show on TV. Another nostalgic trip down memory lane for me.
I thought the characters were perfect - the writing was so fitting! I can't say enough good stuff about it - AWESOME! 
We've been eating fantastic mexican food - I can't seem to tire of it.
I'm having such a relaxing time here - and of course - getting lots of sleep.
