i wish people would just go away
as i willed it
so i could be enveloped
always
in a lacy black state of almost
nothing
with smudged eyeliner and chipped nails
with no reasons
or some
reasons that i cannot always explain
with passions i cannot fully understand
but i do understand
that i will revel in fake jellyfish
and in real souls
aware of what never was
where walls have seemed to melt
away
