I was watching Saturday Night LIve (shut up, I still believe in it) and the weatherfolks kept cutting in to remind we Chicagoans that there was a tornado watch was in effect. When they cut in to the show there was always this weird feedback that sounded like some sort of ominous gong.
Plus, the weatherman used the word "tornadic." As in, "we can expect high winds to continue until around midnight, and conditions definitely remain tornadic." Now I'm all for language being dynamic, but dude, you can't just go on television and start making up words. (Imagine there's a joke about the President here.)
There's something about the springtime that makes me want to listen to Whiskeytown and wear a cowboy hat.
