I just saw something that made me jump up and squeal. I was watching television, waiting for the Treat Williams' Beard Show to start, because I am, after all, a huge sucker, and a commercial came on. It was for a pill that treats toenail infection and featured a cartoony little goblin who represented said infection. The creature stood by a cartoon foot and told us who he was and that he lived under your toenail. Then he took both hands and flipped up the nail on the toe's big foot like it had a hinge.

It made my toes curl up. It made me lapse into a coma and turn inside out. I saw other worlds, other times. I experienced life in thirty-six dimensions.

It's a really good commercial.

you know what else is really great. Laundry detergent commercials. They are pretty creative about the things they show as stains...blood ,grass ,urine, sweat, I like to imagine how they got that way, and wich viewers are really concerned about purchasing a detergent that will remove blood....oh and public service announcements about people that smoke pot or do x...those are .....beyond description. smile
