If it makes you feel any better I am a hopeless romantic too.
I spent today with an old friend (of like 15 years) wondering why the hell we never got together. A few moments where something could have happened too, but I was all 'meh, whats the point, we're a thousand km away from each other 99% of the time'.
Instead I got leaches

Puerto Rico has been pretty good so far. It feels like part of the US but with Spanish as the official language. I saw some interesting stuff in the supermarket yesterday that isn't available in NJ - packaged toast, Filler brand potato and plantain chips, Goya guava wafers, "OK Kola Champagne" soda, and Ace brand detergent (it's rebranded Tide). The weather is really nice, temperatures in the 70s during the day with high humidity, partially sunny all day.

The food has been pretty good so far - cuban for dinner yesterday, mexican today and tomorrow I'm going to a diner that serves local food. I will definitely get you a postcard when I'm by the tourist shops later in the week, but I got a feeling you really want the coffee though...maybe I should get both.

Someday you will have to tell me more about what you've learned in school, when you're not as busy between exams and the rest of your life.

I think I saw it in instant coffee form too, and I can get it if it actually exists.

Since I finished school I rarely drink anything that isn't water. Being able to have a regular sleep schedule has helped me cut back on my caffeine intake to a few times per week (vs a few times per day). You definitely can stop consuming all caffeine, but it will probably have to wait a few more months to years.

Boo for work causing you to miss the next SGNY monthly. Maybe we could have coffee one day or something once finals are over.

Someday you will have to visit Puerto Rico. I've been going there for several years now so at this point it's mostly a vacation to relax and sit around the beach or pool because we have already seen all of the nearby tourist attractions.

i know. EPIC lameness.

i'm great. i'm practically skinny now, much stronger, and while my body still aches a bit everything on me is finally feeling good cause it can finally rest. i should go out and get a massage or something. or perhaps a happy ending is what i really need. 2.5 months away from females was rough (as i am sure i mentioned like 100 times in my letter). but i'm not going to do anything till i file my taxes, check in with my unit, and figure out what my orders are (they never gave me any when i left basic). after that, i can do anything i want (and intend to do just that)

but but but....i wanna comment on how i would and will do you. (:

I'm really sorry hun. I wish there was something I could do for you. if there is, feel free to ask. You know that all of us love you and are here for you when you need us.

Some lucky guy is going to meet you soon, I believe. And it probably will be with a shorter drive, not even the 40 minute commute you had before. And yes you are correct, us men can be "retarded" in many ways. Problem is .... we don't seem to think we have a problem. We're so fucked up.
