So the Katrina Relief Benefit Show was a smashing success! Not to mention a shitload of fizZZzzun! About 151 people showed up and $735 was raised, which surpasses all other benefit shows I have organized (4 others) the money will go to the newly formed common ground clinic and the New Orleans Network read about the story that inspired me to give to common ground clinic here:
Not much else is new...been going to school and stuff...I fuckin have to get to school at 8:55 am every monday wednesday and friday and every tuesday i've got my shift at arise! so wednesday night is my one weekday where i can party it up and sleep in but tonight nothing seems to be going on so i have cleaned my room and finally put up all my posters and shit after waiting 5 months to decorate my room...me been too lazzzZZzzy to do that but it looks pretty fuckin awesome...i've got one wall dedicated to h.r. giger paintings, one wall to the bee hive collective and political stuff one wall towards adbuster posters, Joe Chemo, corporate flag, and another giger wall, and then music posters...yeah i'm not finished though cauz i ran out of push pins and it's too late to be hammerin away right now...
so yeah lotz of fucking shit going on this weekend, there's a show at the **** ganglion is playin there, and there's a free 3 kegger partay, also a costume partay on saturday, lotz of stuff to chooz from and party it up...let me know if you want to hang out and come partay...talk to y'all lateh!

In answer to your question, I think I just saw flyers around and the information on First Ave's website. Went in part cuz it was a Hurricane Katrina benefit (and cool that it was presented by Arise!, if memory serves), and just cuz I wanted to go to First Ave on Friday. I really really like all the bands I heard though. Thanks for putting it together!!!
