Ok so you guys deserve a real update. I got myself a new job this week, I am pretty excited about it! It is another canvassing job but I like it way better. Now I am working for Progressive Minnesota, working on a living wage campaign--basically it's a city wide ordinance, through the city council of minneapolis and st. paul, that would require corporations that get city subsidies, to pay their workers 30% over the federal poverty level, which would amount to $12.09 per hour. So this would effect Walmart and Target and all those huge fucking corporate conglomerates evil motherfuckers...I'm gathering community support and pressuring the city council members to vote the right way by bombarding them with post cards from their constituents...the quota is $25 less than clean water action and pays more per day and I already made staff by making weekly quota once this week! The canvass director is my best friend from high school who I have known for 12 years and a couple more of my really good friends work there too so it's pretty fuckin' awesome!!
