On Thursday, got to spend another surreal punk rock evening. At the same time the AKA Lounge was hosting a Punk/Ska show and a artist viewing. But thankfully no bathroom attendant. All the bands were great. A New Theat and The Supervillian, both local bands played great sets. Although the room wasnt quite warmed up and was really silent for the modt part. Things stated livining up when Brain Failure all the way from China. These guys amazed me actually, lead singeg Xiao Rong admitted on statge that "his English fucking sucked ", but the set was great none the less. To be expected from a band backed by Ken Casey of DKM and Mark Unseen from the Unseen. Now the most enegetic performance of the night came from the River City Rebels, seven guys on a stage barely fitting four moved and preformed their hearts out. Finally the reason for my treak into Orlando.....The Street Dogs, always good to see guaranteed, not much to say other than you must buy their albums and see them live. Mike and the crew were wonderful, along with all the bands, who just sat around with the crowd and just hung out. To bad it all came to an end, but next up for me is The Ledgendary Shack Shakers at the Social. Going to like all the band's site for everyone to check out. Enjoy, its a celibration......bitches.
