Well, this was quite a week. First I found out that our store is closing. Upon hearing the news, my heart sank like a stone with the thought of having to job hunt in this godforsaken town. I don't have to though. Cindy is taking me with her to the Abercorn store (which is where I started). Later she seemed offended by the fact that I thought that I wasn't going to have a job at Blockbuster anymore. I'm going to miss lying down and watching Seinfeld when it is slow and leaving for work five minutes before my shift starts. I told her that I was going to be late everyday for the first month. She told me to go ahead and hit the Classifieds. "Yeah right", I quipped. "I have job security out tha wazoo". She just laughed. She knows I'm right. I totally quipped too! Total quippage. So, we've been boxing stuff up, taking down shelves, etc. Cindy is going to Costa Rica for two weeks starting next Monday so it's going to be up to me to get the rest of it done and to make sure the scavengers from the other stores don't steal our shit when they "help" us move.
My parents were in town this week too. They just went back home today. My dad had a conference all week. I love my folks more than anything but I forgot how exhausting it is to be around them. Now I know where my anxiety and OCD comes from. Plus they are ALWAYS on the go and it's pretty hard to keep up with them. Even an energetic whippersnapper such as myself. Also, they are freaks and eat three meals a day! What's the deal with that, huh? Last night I walked to the store and rented a movie (that I never watched) just to make myself feel like I wasn't going to asplode.
They always repair things too. I had an electrical problem in my house and only about half of my outlets worked. My landlady wouldn't fix it no matter how many times I complained, so my dad called up someone he knows (he knows everyfuckingbody) and had it fixed. The guy didn't even charge us because he likes my dad (everybody likes my dad). So no mo' ghetto rigging for me! My dad then took me shopping and bought me $100 worth of groceries.
Oh, I have a new dryer now too! I bought it about 2 weeks ago. No pics of me in it though. Yet.
Well, I'm going to go play Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and polish off my 12 pack. Have a great weekend. Just remember I love you and it will be alright.

P.S. I'm keeping THIS up for one more journal entry. I can't wait until the real deal is finally up on our site. The date of it being up is out of my hands though.
