My grandfather recently had congestive heart failure. He is easily the smartest the person on the planet. He got me started on the whole radio thing. He taught me electronics, ham radio, Morse code, the beauty of ragtime piano and was bascially my hero my whole life. I always had a place to stay when things got wierd at home. He's at home now but it's just a matter of time , I'm afarid.
When I was eight he had a massive heart attack. I was told years later that the doctors said that he would not live through the morning. They told my mom to make funeral arrangements.
That was 25 years ago. When my mom told me about the recent developments, she said that the doctors wondered how he was still alive. They said he should have died a long time ago. I was sad because it is only a matter of time beore my hero dies. He is 89 years old. But all I can of think is "Hell Yeah Papa! Go when it's your time and no one elses' "
He is a stubborn fuck. I 've been told countless time that I am a lot like him. I've always taken that as a compliment.
