I want to share something that has inspired me to continue fighting for my weight loss.

I was out at the gym this past Friday, just got done in the weight room. Feeling overwhelmed and tired... did not want to run around that damned track again. I felt like leaving and going home.

I walked the track once, stopped in a far corner of it where I usually leave my stuff and did a few pushups and stretches.

I see at the other end of the track a man pushing a girl in a wheelchair up to the start of the track. She slowly gets up with his help and SLOWLY starts walking the track with his and the track railing's help. She clearly has some physical disability.

I see this and my heart overfills and my mind swells with hope and willpower.
I say to myself, "If she can get up to this track and fight her way around to do one lap, and it's that difficult for her... what's holding me back?"

I respect this girl so much for being so brave and fighting to try and be normal. I did my laps... and I rooted her on as I did so. She smiled and blushed each time saying, "Thank you."

She really warmed my heart, If she can do it... so can I.

(This is not meant in any means to be mean towards this girl. Please don't take this blog like that. She inspired me and I wish and hope I can fight as hard as she has to.)

Moments like that are humbling, aren't they? Sometimes I feel so spoiled when I think anything in my life is difficult, compared to the obstacles other people face. It's good you found inspiration and something positive came out of the situation.smile
