it's open mic at the backstreet pub this evening. think we might go out.
i went through all my clothes today and gathered up three big trashbags of shit to take to the thrift store; there's also a huge box of purses and shoes and belts. i am the queen of buying things and never ever wearing them, or wearing them one time and realizing they're not for me. somebody is going to get a pair of knee-high black boots with five-inch cuban heels on a platform at thrift-shop price; no doubt they'll look cute as hell on somebody, but that somebody was not destined to be me.
repotted all my plants today, and put marigold seeds in the big greenhouse flat. marigolds are super-easy to grow, and colorful, and they're the dia de los muertes flower, too. i need something to brighten things up in here, and none of my plants are the flower-bearing kind...i have things i can eat (ginger, basil, lemongrass, italian parsley, chives, garlic, etc.) and leafy things that grow well in the dark, but no flowers.
once again, i have the most boring journal EVER.

thanks for reminding me about mentat being a lawyer. that had totally not even crossed my mind. gonna try to come out saturday? i know it's a bit of a drive for you, but it's always nice to meet the person that goes with the screenname.
