OMG i think i pushed it out of my mind...but now that you say it i remember!!! that was soooo funny but embarassing, trust me to do something so stupid hahaha
Oooh, interesting! No, completely by chance, but it's good to know that the RSPCA may not have kept him due to his colour. He never made it to the RSPCA. Friends of mine found him in a house they had just bought ( I think?) two weeks after it had been vacated and they knew that the previous owners had just left him there with no food or water, as I said. (Bastards!) So anyway, they took him in but couldn't keep him and they knew that the boy and I were looking for a kitten and so they let me know. I went to meet Sweep (who was at that stage unnamed) and we thought he was lovely, but had issues because:
1. we rent and had to get the OK from the owner of our property first;
2. we wanted to get a little kitten;
3. I wanted a tortoiseshell cat.
The boy pointed out that little kittens need more attention than we have time to give, and need to be toilet trained! And also that Sweep was very handsome and lovely and the colour of the cat isn't a big deal as long as the cat is handsome. Which is a very good point!!!
As soon as the owner said OK, we had a big think about our commitments and decided we could afford and had the time for Sweep, so we picked him up from his in-between home last Saturday and brought him home. He's been with us for just over a week now. He is really really friendly and affectionate, in fact - he's a bit of a sook! Which is fantastic because my family cat, Figaro, was a stray and he was at least 3 when we found him abandoned and living by himself at a unit complex and we adopted him when we moved from the units, and he was really affectionate and loving and protective and I wanted a cat who would actually care about us. I think that cats that have been abandoned are really appreciative of their new owners.
Sweep certainly is!!! He's just lovely. And his fur is SO SOFT!!!
We have no idea of the breed. Only found out his age when we took him to the vet last Saturday and the vet said he has all his adult teeth. He's still growing, and he's wonderful.
just got back from the dj shadow/cut chemist show.
it was awesome! seriously, way better than i expected and the visuals on the screen, pre show clip and just everything about their set was just awesome. spot on.
the only crap thing was how packed it was and how many annoying people were standing around me talking thru the set... why pay $65 to see... Read More
HA HA! Yeah I was kinda pissed off after Chimaira finished... even now I still have moments when I will randomly say "FUCK KORN" like I have torettes or something. Chimaira would have come eventually. I think they were just testing the waters. See how well they would do in Australia cause they have never been here before.
i thought something must've happened due to the lack of text. all good
