I had the best night out dancing than I have had in ages last night. I have been out a few times in the last few months but there is usually something off, either (mood depending) not the right company, not the right music, not the right drugs, not the right crowd or not the right club and so on. Last night just clicked, eventually. After visiting a party at a work mates place, I had the choice of either going to the Valley or down the Coast to visit Rhian and Bindi. After already being down toward the Coast for the party, I decided to choose the Coast.
I got to the O'ford already buzzin'. We watched some Flight of the Concords, which altho i think is funny, was not what I was wanting to do at that stage. Of course R-dog was up for funstuff. We continued to watch Youtube clips which seemed to last for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaages. I wanted to go out, and i nearly came back to go out in the Valley. Bindows decided against going out, so R-dog and I head into Surfers. First off we went to check out Mybar, which altho nicely decked out, had a very weird crowd. And bad house music with saxaphones. Along with drum n bass, I have discovered I am not a big fan of the kind of house music you would find being played in a fancy restaurant/bar. I'll listen to a bit, but I can't do a whole night of it. So, after getting over that, I suggest we head to the Bedroom.
We get inside and it's packed. Who ever is DJing is playing the dodgiest mix of songs, so along with the pushy crowd, it was feeling like it really wasn't worth it. We decide to go walking alley ways for a bit, then I suggested the Ruby Tramp, a club I had heard was pretty good. We get up there and it's actually pretty awesome. Good music, not too packed, considerate people having a fun time. After thinking the night would be crap, this place really got us in a good mood and moving on the dancefloor. woot. We then decided to go back and check out the Bedroom before lockout time, cos there was a bigger named DJ playing, to see if it had improved. It definitely had. A few less people and much better music, it was awesome hearings some older songs that I thought I would never hear in a club. When the opening line for Insomnia by Faithless came on it was awesome. The DJ's after Mr. Timothy were so so good. Gerry Morales vs Joey Mojo... they played stuff that was a bit harder and a tad alternative plus some old favourites. Nothing beats dancing in a club, for me anyway. As always when we go out together, we indulged a bit too much, but hey, you get that and it was fun.
I'm going to go have a nap. SKINS SEASON 2 TONIGHT!!!!!!!! WOOT! I have been very good and haven't watched ahead.
this song is lovely
hope everyone else had a good weekend!
