I'd just like to give a heads up to those smart individuals that buy music from Amazon.com that may not know of this deal yet. Amazon is offering a certain selection of "indie" albums for only $7.97. I put "indie" in quotation marks because I'm not sure how most of the music is indie, but that's another matter. There are some good bands there... NOFX, Matchbook Romance, Bad Religion, Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, Badly Drawn Boy, Death Cab for Cutie, The Distillers, The Hellacopters, Nirvana, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Hives, etc. There are also a lot of unknown or rather unknown, at least, bands there but give the selection a shot. I was able to find about 15 albums I wanted but only ended up buying 8. I think it's a pretty good deal considering some of these albums retail for $12-15 in stores.
