Sometimes it would seem that True love is a sham. But how can I deny that love is real when I am in love with someone that cares about me yet loves another.

Personally, I think you can love more than one person at a time. There are different kinds of love after all. Do not give up on her. If you're feelings are that strong and her relationship that is she is in currently is not all that great, then odds are you still might have a chance. Everything happens for a reason and what happened between the two of you happened to lead to something else. You just have to be patient.
