My raping and pillaging tour of the South is over. 7 states in 5 days, although I just drove through 4 of them, but whatever. FINALLY got to see my chat wife melaniek. We had an awesome time. Only had 3 hours, but we got some great BBQ and talked and talked and talked. She is taller and thinner in person, (everyone's dream, eh?) It was a pleasure to finally meet her.. 
Spent most of the time in the western mountains of North Carolina. No cell phone reception at all. Roads were just paved 12 years ago or so. Back back backwoods people. Always like going back in time 40 years when I visit. Good in some ways, bad in others, (like the porch monkeys that adorn nearly all of their lawns).
Did some rattlesnake hunting, which basically involves hiking a short way into the mountains, prying open a snake trap and firing a shotgun at a coiled up snake. Weeeeeee.....
Went down to Atlanta to visit with my best friend, Sammy. We had a great time. Just hung out, went to a few places in town, had some great meals, hit on 25 yr olds, drank tons of good beer. Speaking of which, why the fuck do so many young people drink Pabst Blue Ribbon? Is it a cost thing? Is it a "I wanna be hip and drink the cool beer?" Cause it sure ain't a taste thing. That stuff sucks balls...jussayin'...spend the extra ONE DOLLAR and buy a real beer.
