Looks like the French-Canadian company is going to make me an offer next week. It'll be a steep pay increase over what I'm getting with my current company, but will require a good amount of travel. I will be the US Sales Manager, covering the East Coast and Northeast. Probably Boston down to the Carolinas, including NY, Philly, DC, maybe Ohio too.
Scary since I haven't had to do a ton of travel since the mid-90s...when I was in my 20s. Now, with two little kids, that will be tough, but the money may be too good to ignore. Also, in my current job, I have a huge amount of slackability here. I leave at 9 sometimes, 10, 11, whenever. This job will have stricter time frame and I'll be all over the country. Yikes.
Also, I'll be working out of my home office, so I'll have to make that a REAL office and boot the kids. It needs to be cleaned out anyways.
Ugh...
PS I have to go to Atlanta.
