So... when we played in Madison, one person told us we sounded like Flipper and the Crucifucks, another told us Joy Division, and Sonic Youth... Ryan Poortenga (oh yeah, now I can name drop Punk Planet, and Suburband Voice) compared us to HIS new "sludge" band... another kid said he liked our "stoner rock" , but the show before he said he enjoyed our "new rock and roll sound"... Todd Kellner (name drop: Trick Knee records, Black Generation E-Zine) said we were "metallic hardcore"... Last night the bass player from Boris the Sprinkler said we sounded like the Fuck-Ups and Fang... but I suspect he was just trying to name drop the FU's to see if we're hip enough to know who they are...

me personally... I think we're post-everything... we really fill the gap between grunge and emo.

Fuck this city.

It was a basement in Madison... It was called The Death Trap... I think it was only the first or second show they ever had there... it was a couple blocks from the Capital Building.
