My dad dropped a bombshell on me yesterday. The money from my grandfather... it's GONE. Yeah, all gone. He spent it all. I knew he would, but I thought it would take longer. We're talking about several hundred thousand. Gone. A tiny fraction of that was supposed to be my money for the trail. I mean... I had him not give me anything for christmas...

It will be okay, but I can't give you feeling over the internet. Things always work out one way or another.

So I decided to go on a ten-day hiatus from TV, video games, and computer games. All this adds up to one thing: I'm gonna be on SG so much this week...

He went on for hours and never really gave me a why. Lots of nonsense about genetics and choice and religion and the will of the majority and all sorts of other things, but he never once said "I don't think gay people should be allowed to marry because" and followed through with concrete reasons. With the admission that my reasoning may have seemed just as ridiculous to him, I have to say that I was astonished and dismayed that a person could be so steadfast against granting basic rights to their fellow man, and at the same time so utterly incapable of articulating why.

Went out with my roommate and his friend Nick last night. Ben had apparently told nick about my legendary dry spell.

Quote of the night:
NICK: "So, when was the last time you had sex?
ME: "December, 1999."
NICK: "Shit, man. My son was born in 1999... he reads now...

I can now claim that I haven't had sex in an entire span of literacy.

well officially I can be thrown in the brig for saying anything bad about the Commander in chief. Unofficially, I think he and most of the people in his admin, are complete idiots that are trigger happy and if they had their way we would be occupying every single country that looked at us wrong, But thats all off the record cause like I said I'm not allowed to say anything bad about out almighty leader

*coughs fuckstick coughs*

I did a bad thing today.
Perhaps a very bad thing.
I don't know how many of you remember Carla.

You know, that girl I used to work with?
You know, the one I was in love with, but never quite dated?
You know, the one who was mean and manipulative with me?
You know, the one who would call me when she needed help...

Every time I am feeling lonely and miserable I email my first boyfriend from high school. Just don't email her back if she responds, delete it. That's what I did last time, because I finally realized that he doesn't talk to me, he just responds to me, and it was pointless.

Not much to say.
I'm going through an odd phase of cautious positivity.
Life is feeling pretty good.
And Sarah called again.
She's aparently been really stressed out and working like 36-hour days. But that's all over and I get to see her next week. We'll see how that goes.

In the meantime I have an inexplicable urge to read Psalms. *shrug* Whatever.

Yeah, thanks for playing along. Weird to think of it in days, isn't it? Silly math.

Damn, man...I just read your post in AKASnuggles's journal...sorry to get such thoughts going. My last slump was something like 430 days, and I thought that was bad...

So this weekend, I went hiking and climbed the highest mountain in Massachusetts. Granted, we're a pretty flat state, but that's still 3000+ feet. And it's fucking February.

Saturday morning, after eating tasty waffles, we drove the two hours out to Pittsfield (on the NY border) and set out around 10 AM. I had three layers of socks, two layers of thermal underwear, fleece pants,...

Wow, um, that sounds like... fun. Actually, honestly, it kind of does. I like shitty adventures. I had a boyfriend once who was all into hiking, and I haven't been since then, and I kind of miss it.
monkboy:
If you were hiking south on the AT, the next mountain bigger than Mount Graylock is in West Virginia. A random AT fact I know. Good luck on the AT. Hike your own hike. Enjoy the PUDs. I miss talking trail. Go to Shaw's, Pie Lady sucks.

My pack for the trail is almost all packed. I'm going on a practice hike with my friend Bill Saturday into Sunday.
Camping in New England in February? Yeah, I'm stupid. So what?

Sunday night the Roxy is having a party for the L Word premiere. Ninedayjane and Sarah (the girl I've been semi-seeing) wanr me to go with them. It might be fun, but...

she might be trying to draw you out.
