My dad dropped a bombshell on me yesterday. The money from my grandfather... it's GONE. Yeah, all gone. He spent it all. I knew he would, but I thought it would take longer. We're talking about several hundred thousand. Gone. A tiny fraction of that was supposed to be my money for the trail. I mean... I had him not give me anything for christmas because I needed that money to buy food along the trail. God... I don't know. Maybe I can't do this. Not if the money's gone. Maybe I'll be chained to a desk in Massachusetts for the rest of my life.



I need a hug and a "It will be okay" with feeling.
