A moment of silence for Arthur Miller.
He was one of my favorite writers, right up there with James Joyce, Wilfred Owen, and Yusef Komunyaaka.. By the time I was 15, I had read "The Collected Works of Arthur Miller," twice, including a made-for-TV screenplay that never got made, and some really godawful poetry. He died yesterday at the age of 89.

The Maine beach sounds wonderful. The Oregon beaches are almost always rainy, or at least sprinkly. That's what I always hope for, light rain, and a little wind. And we have lots of nice cliffs and rocks too. I don't really understand the purpose of a beach like in California. What does it do?
I have no control over when my sets go up. If I did, I would try ever so hard for you. As it is, all we can do is hope a lot. I want them to go up too, of course.
