Awright, seriously, it's been like three weeks since I updated. I swear to GOD sometime this week I'll get off my lazy ass, buy a new network card, and install is so I don't have to keep borrowing my roommate's frickin computer. Of course, it still won't be for another week, because I'm leaving town to avoid the hell that will be DNC week in Boston. I hate crowds.
Oh, funny story! There's this woman at work, right? She's the secretary to the VP of my department. She's also really good-looking with nothing on her left ring finger and maybe 5 years older than me. I've only met her once before, but the other day we were riding the elevator together on the way out of work, and I realized that I had forgotten my stamps for the parking garage. She said if I wanted to go back up to her desk and get one from her desk, I could have it. So I thank her, take the elevator back upstairs, and go to the appropriate drawer. Immediately in front of this drawer is her blotter-sized calendar, and it is impossible for me to notice that in the margin of the calendar, in all capital letters, underlined twice with no explanation or reminder notes, is written a name. MY NAME! Aaaargh! My pessimism leads me to believe that it's NEVER a good thing that your name is being brought up to the secretary of someone really important. But there is one other possibility. The first time we met was when a group of people from work all went out for drinks after work. I came in alone, and she made a special effort when I came in to come introduce herself to me. Is it possible that my name was there because she'd met me, been interested, and asked some of her friends in my department who I was? I need opinions here. Is this personal or professional?
Here's the teaser for my next update:
Wrestling!
Rock climbing!
A smart, hot, Icelandic girl!
DT's!
Edited to correct a common misunderstanding of the story: First AND LAST name!
