kay, so this weekend has alternated between really great and mildly shitty. I had plans this weekend for two dates, one Saturday and one Sunday. That was great Friday I was in training at work. That was mildly shitty. But the trainer guy was from Philadelphia and wanted to be there even less than we did, so he let us out at 3. That was awesome. And also I had really good sushi for lunch. Also good. But then I got home and my roommate and his girlfried were here being their usual, cute, obnoxious, coupl-y selves. Mildly shitty. But then they went out someplace and I went to see Vic Chesnutt and Evan Dando play (great). But then I got home and at 3, my sister called and woke me up saying she had a bad day and wanted to come talk to me (shitty). But when she got here we went to an all-night truck stop and I had some eggs and a good biscuit (good). But we got home at 4, so I slept all this morning and felt like shit when I woke up at 10. (shitty). Then I checked my email and the girl I was supposed to go to dinner with Sunday cancelled. (More shitty). Then I started getting ready for the Beulah/John Vanderslice show, my second date. The girl was supposed to call me to arrange a meeting time and place, but instead she just blew me off. (Super shitty). So I had an extra ticket and no one to give it to. But the show it self was phe-fucking-nominal. Like an orgsasm from Jesus himself. (Estra-super-good). Do you see, it all balances out. In the words of Jerry Seinfeld, "I'm not a loser! I'm a break-evener!"
Oh, and the best part of all: It is now 2:30 and I have to get up at 5am to pick my friend up at the airport and drive him to Maine. Woo!
